FY-2015 Immigrant Quota Reached for Employment-Based Applicants

24 Sep

On Thursday, September 24, 2015, the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services announced that the employment-based immigrant visa quota was reached for Fiscal Year 2015 (October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015). The CIS will suspend final adjudication of I-485 Applications to Adjust Status for the remaining six days of the current fiscal year, through September 30, 2015. Applicants may still file their applications if their priority dates are earlier than the dates published in the September 2015 Visa Bulletin. Adjudication will resume with the beginning of the new fiscal year, on October 1, 2015.

As always, Foster will continue to monitor immigrant visa availability and will provide additional information in future Immigration Updates© and on our firm’s website at www.fosterglobal.com.
