Biography
Sofia Brondino Zavalla is an attorney in Foster LLP’s Houston office. She advises clients on employment-based nonimmigrant visa matters and works with employers on immigration matters supporting global workforce mobility. Before joining Foster LLP, Sofia practiced as an immigration attorney, advising Fortune Global 500 clients on a range of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters, with a focus on intracompany transfers, extraordinary ability classifications, and workforce planning following corporate restructuring.
Sofia earned her LL.M. from The University of Texas School of Law, her law degree from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto. She is licensed to practice in Texas.
Why did you decide to become an immigration attorney?
Having been an immigrant in three countries throughout my life, I understand how meaningful, and often overwhelming, the immigration process can be. I became an immigration attorney to help individuals navigate that process with clarity and confidence as they establish roots in a new country.
