United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that the agency will resume premium processing for all remaining H-1B cap-subject petitions on Monday, June 10, 2019. Premium processing for H-1B cap subject petitions was suspended until May 20, 2019 when premium processing was resumed but only for those cap subject H-1B petitions requesting a change of status. On June 10th premium processing requests will be accepted for all other FY-2020 cap-subject H-1B petitions.
Contact your Foster immigration attorney now if you would like to request an upgrade to premium processing for an H-1B cap subject petition filed and pending decision with USCIS. The USCIS filing fee for premium processing is currently $1,410, with which USCIS guarantees action on the petition within fifteen (15) days of the agency’s receipt of the request and fee. Please keep in mind, even if the petition is approved more quickly due to premium processing, the start date for the beneficiary of an approved FY-2020 H-1B cap petition may not be earlier than October 1, 2019.
