The annual deadline is coming soon for Angolan companies to file their employee lists with the Angolan authorities. By Angolan Executive Decree No. 155/04 of December 31, 2004, all Angolan employers must file an annual list of all of the employees working for the company to the Ministry of the Public Administration, Labor and Social Security (MAPTSS). This list is commonly referred to as the “Mapa de Registro Nominal de Trabalhadores” or “RENT”. The RENT must indicate all Angolan and foreign national employees as of March 31, 2017, and this filing must be made on the MAPTSS government portal during the period of April 1 – 30, 2017.
The failure to file the Mapa de Registro Nominal de Trabalhadores during this April window may result in a fine being assessed against the company. Please contact your Foster LLP attorney if you have any questions regarding this requirement or process.
Foster LLP will continue to monitor changes to Angolan immigration laws impacting Angolan companies and work assignments of foreign nationals. We will make information about further developments available in future Immigration Updates© and on our firm’s website at www.fosterglobal.com.
