The South African Department of Home Affairs (DHA) has changed the procedure for the submission of annual reporting for Quota Work Permit holders. Effective immediately, all Quota Work Permit holders that are required to submit annual reports must now submit their reports directly to the DHA email address: quota.reports@dha.gov.za. Previously, Quota Work Permit holders were required to submit annual reports at the closest regional DHA office; however, this practice has been suspended in favor of electronic filing.

Upon receipt of the required documents, the DHA will issue a letter of compliance confirming whether the individual continues to comply with the conditions of his or her work permit. This letter will be sent to the work permit holder via the same email address that was used to transmit the annual report. As such, it is important that the email address utilized to submit the report is valid and that the account is checked regularly for email.
