UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Visa On Arrival Now Available for All Russian Business Visitors and Indian Business Visitors Who Hold a Valid U.S. Visa or Green Card

30 Mar

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Cabinet recently announced significant changes to the country’s entry requirements to the benefit of Russian and Indian business and tourist visitors.

Indian citizens who hold a valid United States visa or Lawful Permanent Resident (“Green”) card may now obtain a UAE visa on arrival to the country for tourist and business visitor activities up to fourteen (14) days. An official statement further clarified that Indian nationals must present passports with at least six (6) months in validity beyond the dates of travel in addition to their valid U.S. visa. A single extension of stay may be granted upon payment of a fee for an additional fourteen (14) days.

Earlier this year, the UAE Cabinet issued a similar decree granting Russian passport holders the ability to obtain a visa on arrival for stays of up to thirty (30) days and extendable for up to thirty (30) additional days.

As always, Foster will continue to track changes in entry requirements to the United Arab Emirates for international business travelers. We will make information about further developments available in future Immigration Updates© and on our firm’s website at www.fosterglobal.com.
