Visa Bulletin – July 2026 Combination of Forward Movement, Retrogression, and India EB‑2 Becomes Unavailable

24 Jun

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has published the monthly Visa Bulletin for July 2026. Until July 1, the June 2026 Visa Bulletin remains in effect.

The Visa Bulletin contains the DOS’s Final Action Dates chart, which lists the priority dates that are current in each respective category, the categories that are current during the applicable month (i.e., categories that do not have any backlogs), and the categories that are unavailable. The Visa Bulletin also contains the DOS’s Dates for Filing chart, which usually progresses ahead of the Final Action Dates chart, and which U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) sometimes uses to determine the date that Adjustment of Status filings are permitted in each respective category.

For July 2026, USCIS has confirmed on its website that beneficiaries of employment-based immigrant petitions should use the Final Action Dates chart to determine eligibility to file adjustment of status (“green card”) applications.

 Key Takeaways:

  • India EB-2 and EB-5 (unreserved) no longer available for the remainder of the fiscal year
  • EB-1 China advanced by 2 months and EB-1 India retrogressed by 2 months; all other countries remain current
  • EB-2 for China, Mexico, Philippines, and All Others remain the same
  • EB-3 China advanced by almost 5 months; EB-3 advanced modestly for most other countries, including India
  • The Other Workers category for China remains the same; advanced modestly for other countries
