by Foster, on Immigration Updates
Beginning Monday, November 3rd, nonimmigrant visa services at the U.S. Consulate General in Calgary will be unavailable throughout November due to building renovations. In anticipation of the upcoming closure, additional nonimmigrant visa appointments have been made available through Tuesday, October 28th. Normal visa operations are anticipated to resume at the beginning of December 2014.
During the closure, routine and emergency American Citizen Services will continue to be provided on an appointment-only basis. However, those requiring nonimmigrant visa services should plan to submit their visa application at one of the other six U.S. consulates in Canada: Ottawa, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, or Halifax.
Foster will continue to monitor and report changes in visa application procedures at U.S. Embassies and Consulates abroad, and will make updates available as appropriate on our firm’s website.
